THE
PRINCIPALITY OF DANYªMENT TÜRKMENS
(In
Sivas, Kayseri and Malatya)
While
the Seljuk commanders were expanding their control in Asia Minor, Gumus,
son of Türkmen commander Danishmend, conquered Cappadocia, Sivas,
Kayseri and Malatya.
Gumus
defeated the Franks, who invaded Anatolia up to Malatya. The Danishmends
became dependent on the Anatolia Seljuk State after a short time.
